Tom Aspinall is a British mixed martial artist who competes in the UFC’s heavyweight division. Born on April 11, 1993, in Atherton, Greater Manchester, England, Aspinall is known for his exceptional speed, technical striking, and solid grappling skills, making him one of the most exciting prospects in the heavyweight division. He has a background in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and boxing, and he began training in combat sports at a young age, inspired by his father, who is a Jiu-Jitsu coach.
Aspinall made his professional MMA debut in 2014, and after a strong run on the European MMA circuit, he signed with the UFC in 2020. He quickly gained attention for his dominant performances, finishing several of his early UFC opponents within the first round. Aspinall’s versatility is one of his key strengths, as he has demonstrated both knockout power and grappling ability in his fights.
His breakout moment came in 2021 when he defeated former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski via submission.
