The Francis Ngannou vs Tyson Fury fight billed as “Battle of the Baddest” in October 2023 was a massive crossover event between MMA and Boxing. Tyson Fury, the current WBC Heavyweight champion, is widely billed as the most technical boxer in the division was facing off against a frightening powerhouse in former UFC champ Ngannou.
Ngannou made over $3m in his lengthy UFC career but he quickly surpassed that amount in his boxing debut. Reports from the DailyMail indicate that Ngannou made about $10m versus the $50m Fury is rumoured to be making.
The fight ended in a controversial decision victory for Fury despite Ngannou knocking down the “Gypsy King”.
