This card (on December 18th, 2021) features the heavy handed knockout artist Derrick Lewis against rising heavyweight contender Chris Daukaus. Daukaus is looking to stay undefeated in the UFC with his fifth straight victory since entering the promotion. Post fight update: Derrick Lewis proved that their are levels in the UFC and Daukaus isn’t quite in his stratosphere yet. Lewis knocked out Daukaus in the first round to prove that he deserves his top 5 ranking. In the co-main event, Belal Muhammad put on a wrestling clinic to shut down the striking game of Thompson. Muhammad took down the former title challenger in every round and beat down Thompson with a steady stream of ground and pound. “Remember the Name” has not lost since 2019 and we can expect that he will near the top 5 with this win.
Melissa Gatto body kicked her way to a $50,000 performance of the night bonus as she took out Sijara Eubanks in the third round. The other POTN bonus went to Cub Swanson for his quick knockout of the durable Darren Elkins. Fight of the night went to Angela Hill and Amanda Lemos in a fun back and forth battle.
